Company Introduction

Luoyang Institute of Refractories Research(LIRR), a wholly owned subsidiary of China Iron & Steel Industry & Trade Group Corporation, is a high-tech enterprise that has passed the ISO9001 international quality system certification. LIRR has a strong technical team as there is a galaxy of skilled people composed of more than 160 senior research engineers (Some of them are of the professor level) of refractory and related specialities including over 40 doctors and masters, and more than 1, 800 sets of advanced equipments for research, production and inspection. It has undertaken more than 260 research projects of the state, ministerial or provincial level and made over 550 achievements in the research since its setup 40 years ago. LIRR has been honored with more than 180 technical awards and invention awards of the state, ministerial or provincial level, and 26 patents are licensed. The National Engineering Research Center for Refractories, the National Quality Inspection & Supervision Center for Refractories and Refractory Authorized Leb of State I&E Commodity Administration are all set in the institute. LIRR also publishes the key magazines of "Refractories" both in Chinese and English and trains master degree graduates in material science. It is the center of science, technology and information of the refractory industry in China.

Nine special production lines for series high-purity oxide products, high quality silicon carbide materials, functional refractories for metallurgy, unshaped refractories, series refractory ceramic fibers and products and refractories for alkali-free glass tank have been set up in LIRR, and series high-tech products for metallurgical, petro-chemical, building materials, ceramics, mechanical and other industries are manufactured, among them, 24 are entitled new products of the state and 20 the high-tech products of the province.
